Christopher Morigeau

Christopher J. Morigeau is a graduate of the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana, possessing several years of experience in trauma-informed special education teaching practices and a diverse legal background cultivated through impactful roles at Earthjustice and the Confederated Salish Kootenai Tribes Legal Department. He is passionate about social justice, Tribal Sovereignty, and police reform, and is determined to uncover truth and rectify injustices to make a positive impact on the lives of others. 

Chris holds a degree in elementary education and special education from Salish Kootenai College and the University of Montana-Western. He also received a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana after a professional “break” while attending law school. He is a proud member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and works primarily from his home on the Flathead Reservation.

As an Investigation Manager for the Montana Innocence Project, Chris is eager to integrate his extensive background as a passionate teacher and legal student to champion social justice causes and rectify systemic legal problems. He looks forward to leveraging his skills to foster positive change and ensure fairness within the legal system. His commitment to uncovering truth and rectifying injustices is a testament to his character and dedication.
