Katie Garding to tell wrongful conviction story at June 27 Tell Us Something

Montana Innocence Project current client Katie Garding will tell her wrongful conviction story at a live storytelling event in Missoula on June 27. Her story is one of seven selected to be performed at Tell Us Something’s “Didn’t See That Coming” showcase.

Based in Missoula, Tell Us Something works with storytellers to inspire more understanding, acceptance, and empathy in communities. Each event has a different theme and features between seven and eight storytellers who were chosen from a pool of story pitches. Stories are 10 minutes long and performed without notes. This event’s theme is “Didn’t See That Coming.”

Katie’s story will share her experience with wrongful conviction of a 2011 vehicular homicide in East Missoula. We have uncovered evidence that proves it is scientifically impossible for her to have committed the crime. Katie was paroled earlier this year, and this will be the first time she shares her story in-person at a live event.

The event is on June 27 at Bonner Park Bandshell at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and selling fast! Click here to purchase.
