Montana Innocence Project client Katie Garding and her older sister Chyrel Garding have both been through the criminal legal system—Katie through her wrongful conviction and Chyrel through substance use disorder, which she has since overcome and is now a leader in the re-entry community in Billings. On National Siblings Day, they discuss how their shared experiences brought them together after years of not getting along and how Chyrel is supporting Katie through pre-release.
