Montana Innocence Project client Aaron Oliphant was wrongfully convicted of Aggravated Assault in 2017 based on the unproven hypothesis Shaken Baby Syndrome. Aaron’s mom, Rena Oliphant, sat down with MTIP Journalism Intern Ashley Miller to discuss the impact of this injustice on the Oliphant family, including navigating prison visitation, missing watching Aaron parent his young son, and how this entire process has altered their view of the criminal legal system.
