Montana Innocence Project client Bernard Pease Jr. was wrongfully convicted of murder in 1984. His sister, Linda Thomas, spoke with MTIP Journalism Intern Ashley Miller about the trial process and the shock of a guilty verdict, how her family persisted for 39 years without Bernie, and the excitement of watching him adjust to life after wrongful incarceration since his transfer to pre-release early this year.
