Two Ways to Get Involved This November | Holiday Card Drive + Pint Night at Bias Brewing!

We have two opportunities to connect with the Montana Innocence Project this November, and we’d love for you to join us!

Help Us Send a Little Hope This Holiday Season

The holidays can be especially hard for people who are incarcerated and separated from their families and communities. This year, we’re inviting you to help us send a little hope to Montanans facing injustice.

The Montana Innocence Project is collecting holiday cards for clients whose cases we have investigated and determined involve wrongful convictions or unjust incarceration. A few words of encouragement can remind someone that they haven’t been forgotten and that their community is thinking of them.

Here’s how you can help:

Stop by one of our participating locations, pick up a card, write a message of hope and encouragement, and leave it for us to collect and deliver.

Participating locations:

  • Alexander Blewett III School of Law
  • University of Montana School of Social Work
  • University Congregational Church
  • Holy Spirit Episcopal Church

Not sure what to write? Here are a few questions to get you started:

  1. What words of encouragement would you want someone going through a difficult time during the holidays to hear?
  2. What would you say to remind someone that they haven’t been forgotten?
  3. If you could send someone a little kindness today, what would you want them to know?

You don’t have to find the perfect words. A simple, heartfelt message can remind someone that they are not forgotten, that their community stands with them, and that people are holding onto hope alongside them as they fight to come home.

Join Us for Pint Night at Bias Brewing!

Mark your calendar for Thursday, November 12, from 5–8 PM at Bias Brewing in Kalispell. Bias Brewing will donate $1 from every pint sold during the event to support the Montana Innocence Project.

We’ll have team members there to share more about our work and answer questions. We’ll also have holiday cards available for you to write and sign while you’re there, so you can participate in our Holiday Card Drive, too!

We are grateful to Noteworthy Paper & Press for sponsoring our Holiday Card Drive and to Bias Brewing for supporting our work and bringing the community together.

Thank you for being part of a community that believes in showing up for one another. Whether you write a card, join us for a pint, or both, your support makes a difference.
